EuroQ2L needs you! After last season, our admin crew has shrink a little and EuroQ2L is missing active admins. Even if you don't feel like being an admin, you can still help us by giving us some feedback in the comments, what you don't like about EuroQ2L, and we will do our best to make the league better for you.

EuroQ2L #11 - Signups opened!

When I mentioned that next season of EuroQ2L starts sooner than you think I really meant it! Even thought that season #10 didn't really end yet, we decided that it's better to open signups sooner and finish the league before summer break. Signups will be closed on Friday 23.01.2009 20:00 CET, so make sure to sign your clan in by that time. If anyone wants to create a new team for this league, you need to contact an admin. But before you sign up, check your squad and remove inactive players. Player who will be active in more than 1 clan will be removed from both. Also don't forget to update your clan info with correct IRC channel. See you!

After couple of months of hard battles and fighting for the gold in EuroQ2L #10, we finally have reached the end and the winners can finally take their virtual medals!

cccp2 - solaris incident

One just looks away for a month and there's already dirt going on. Yesterday we were able to see some interesting case of cheating, so let's hear the story what happened. Around 21:30 CET there was there was cccp2 vs solaris match just about to start.
First interesting fact was that two cccp2 players pinged about 20 on finnish server, which shouldn't really be that low for a player from Kiev (mep3abeu) and for a player from Moscow (optimus). First investigation showed that both are playing from Moscow and that mep3abeu often goes for bussiness trips to russia and plays from there, which was also explained by EDL admin kaby.
Another fact was that there were six players on cccp2's ventrilo server. shug, aid, k1ru, slonik, vaselisa and kaby.
kaby wasn't on the q2 server, but he was aware of the fact that cccp2 is cheating and he was misleading EuroQ2L admin in the investigation.
shug was observing the game and speccing solaris players for a great part of the match (he stopped for last 10 minutes of 4th map when I (wision) was present on the server) and also often speaking on ventrilo. I was told that he is just helping them with some tactics from time to time, but we (admins) see it the way that he was helping them with some tactics, while he knew about in-game situation of all solaris players, so cccp2 might not even realised this, and that it was not their intention.
Closer investigation of mep3abeu's and optimus' IP showed that they are really registered in Moscow, but the ISP is from St.Petersburg, which confirmed story about mep3abeu on the bussiness trip in Russia and playing from aid's home (he lives in St.Petersburg), but optimus lives in Moscow, so another IP check was needed to find out his real identity. I was already suspecting one of the guys on ventrilo and I was right. His IP has the very same which rage.vaselisa was using for months to play q2, not forgetting that vaselisa was on cccp2's ventrilo and vaselisa is from St.Petersburg.
The next day k1ru (cccp2 clan leader) was asked about fakes and he confirmed that they used fake players ( aid as mep3abeu and vaselisa as optimus) because they didn't have four without them and that they didn't want to give wo. He also denied any help from shug on ventrilo.
Conclusion & punishment: - cccp2 is kicked out from the league and all their matches will be turned into wo - k1ru, slonik, aid and vaselisa are kick/banned from the league and forbidden to play in any clan for one upcoming season - kaby is kick/banned from this season, for misleading EuroQ2L admin and covering up faking - rage is required to have an admin during their remaining games and all their players' IPs have to be checked / confirmed, otherwise their games will NOT be accepted and turned into wo - shug receives official warning for possible cheating
